Leeds loves celebrating cask beer!
This time last week, Leeds were kicking the weekend off with their 7th annual international beer festival. The festival lasted the duration of 4 days, from Thursday the 6th to Sunday the 9th. People from all over the country attended the event to celebrate the wonderful world of craft beer and that is exactly what they did.
With over 60 breweries attending as well as the Maine beer company from the USA, everyone was sure to have a taste of every single beer, because why not! The individuality and taste of craft beer is to be savoured and celebrated.
Throughout the 4 days there was also a food market, so people didn’t have to strive far from the town hall for some “good pub grub.” The food market included businesses such as Boundbout Boss Burgers, Little Bao boy, Parm Star and Donnar Summer. A varied range of food for all different pallets.
The good food and drink were also accompanied by Live music, artists such as Tom Knapp and Cowtown & Paul Walker attended the gig. Both keeping people entertained all through the day and night along with a number of different acts.
Whist Thursday to Saturday was a day mainly for the “lads and lasses,” Sunday was aimed at families for a family fun day. Aside from the craft beers, food and live music, there was facilities laid out for the children. This varied from colouring, toys and toy mats to keep the little ones entertained.
So, all in all it was a good weekend with a great turnout. So once again Cheers! See you next year.
